Welcome to the blog for Mount Holyoke College’s 2007 common reading. Our book this year is Field Notes from a Catastrophe, by Elizabeth Kolbert.

This blog was created by Sara Colglazier, an intern & staff person at the Library, Information, & Technology Services and also a graduate student in the Simmons’ College of Library and Information Services at Mount Holyoke. It’s supported by several people in LITS who have been interested in the Field Notes and its primary subject of climate change.
We will be posting as new resources come up, new events are planned, or new ideas emerge. We’d LOVE to get your reactions, comments, and even questions, and hope this will become YOUR blog as much as ours. Ultimately we’d like for it to be a forum for discussion around anything related to the Common Read and the important topic of the environment and climate change.
